Design of a Hotel extension for the wheat baker hotel, in collaboration with Shazbek and Partners
A vision of grandeur, the Wheat Baker Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria—a landmark of prestige and history—embarked on an expansion that would honor its legacy while elevating its presence. At the heart of this transformation was a request from the owner’s daughter: an epic reception.
The new block introduces its own reception and guest rooms, integrating with the existing structure. The circulation of the entire hotel was meticulously reimagined, with the repurposed pool serving as a central courtyard, elegantly connecting the original and new reception areas.
Renowned for its celebration of fine art and sculpture, the extension was designed as a gallery-like space, harmonizing luxury with curated contrast, ensuring every corner feels both refined and inspiring.
